**Q: What does the Period Close Agent manage?**

Manages the full month-end close checklist:

* 16 standard close tasks in sequence (sub-ledger rec → AR review → RevRec run →
  deferred waterfall → bank rec → payroll accrual → prepaid amortisation →
  depreciation → intercompany eliminations → tax provision → FX revaluation →
  management accounts → board pack → vFincelonce analysis → final TB → books locked)
* Tracks task owner, due date, blocking flag, completion status
* Alerts blocking-task owners when their task is overdue
* Escalates to CFO if books-locked deadline is at risk

**Q: What is predictive period close?**

Level 4 enhancement (roadmap). After 6+ months of close data, the Period Close
Agent learns how long each task typically takes per close. It predicts the
probability of hitting the books-locked deadline from Day 1 of the close.
If probability drops below 70%, the CFO is alerted early — not on the last day.
